This is crazy. If France banned Yamakas everyone would say France is AntiSemitic and AntiJewish. That they're fascist and racist.
Married observant Jewish women wear a scarf (tichel or mitpahat), snood, hat, beret, or sometimes a wig (sheitel) in order to conform with the requirement of Jewish religious law that married women cover their hair.
Yet Muslim Women can't do the same thing. France is effectively telling women what they can and cannot wear. Women should be free to wear or not wear whatever they want and still be treated equally no matter what their state of garb may be.
France has no freedom of religion nor do they have any freedom of garment.
